This is particularly true in the countries such as India – the new engines of the world economy.
During his recent visit to India US President Barack Obama said in his speech to Parliament: “You are assuming your rightful place as a leader among nations. Your parents and grandparents imagined this. Your children and grandchildren will look back on this. But only you – this generation of Indians – can seize the possibility of this moment.”
India is a country with a median age of 24 and 200 million people aged between 15-24 years. Today, they influence the entire country more than ever before.
In a recent special report by AFAQ on marketing to youth in this country, the picture of Indian youth starts to emerge and the main outcome from the report is very clear: they are extremely and utterly connected – to each other, to mobile, to digital, to social media, to brands, to interactive opportunities in general.
